A solar dehydrator would be ideal for partial drying, but any dehydrator,
oven pilot light or stovetop near pilot lights will do. This should be done
at the deseeded and halved stage just to reduce sliminess. The vinegars
and citrus juices will help too.Don't dry to the shriveled state; they
should still be choppable. Spread the seeds so they don't spoil, but
they needn't be dry to use. We can't digest them whole so blend wet or
dry seeds, or grind dry ones.This recipe keeps well.
